Contract Changes and your Consumer Rights

Under Regulation 89(7) of the European Union (Electronic Communications Code) Regulations 2022, an operator shall, not less than one month prior to the date of implementation of any proposed modification, notify its subscribers to that service of the proposed modification in the conditions of the contract for that service, and, where applicable, their right to withdraw without penalty from such contract if they do not accept the modification.

  • is of a purely administrative nature and has no negative effect on the subscriber
  • Is directly imposed by law.

01 Sep 2025 - Accounts Change Notification: Transitioning From Paper to E-billing

Change Information

IFA Telecom is proud to announce that, from 1 September 2025, we will be going green by transitioning our primary billing method to e-billing. This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainability while offering you increased convenience, faster service, and enhanced security. By registering for e-billing, you not only support this eco-friendly effort but also gain full access to our Customer Portal. This portal allows you to manage your account easily – update your details, view your billing history, and raise queries with our Customer Service team.

Register for e-billing

We strongly encourage all our valued customers to register for e-billing today and become part of this environmentally conscious change. To ensure a smooth transition and make the process as simple as possible, switching to e-billing helps support a greener environment and provides the added benefits of quicker access to your billing information.

E-billing Exceptions

In accordance with our standard terms and conditions and accessibility statement, customers who are phone-only or who are unable to access online or e-billing services are entitled to opt for and continue to receive paper bills. We are committed to ensuring that all our customers can manage their accounts in a way that best suits their needs, and we will support those requiring traditional paper billing accordingly.

06 Mar 2026 - Contract Change Notification: Price Increase for Copper-based Services

Change Information

Effective 1 March 2026, IFA Telecom will implement an increase of €4.88 Exc. VAT (€6.00 Inc. VAT) to the monthly cost of its copper-based services. This adjustment will be reflected on customer bills issued after this date.

Your Rights and Options

In accordance with ComReg regulations, and reflecting our commitment to fairness, you have the right to terminate your contract without penalty if you do not accept this change. To exercise this right, you must notify us within 30 days of receiving your formal notification. Cancellation requests from customers currently under contract received within this period will not incur early termination charges. However, if you continue to use our services beyond this period, you will be deemed to have accepted this change. Bundle Price Adjustments

The table below represents the IFA Telecom Bundles which will be included within this price adjustment and will be increased by €4.88 Exc. VAT (€6.00 Inc. VAT) on 1 March 2026. These updated prices will be reflected on customers bill on the next billing date after this increase has been implemented.

Reasons for Change

The primary driver behind this price adjustment is a wholesale price increase imposed by our main infrastructure provider, OpenEir. This change also addresses rising costs of operating and maintaining our services in an evolving telecommunications landscape. As the industry shifts towards fibre-based technologies, maintaining existing copper network infrastructure while investing in future-proof solutions presents significant challenges. Copper-based technologies, although still vital for many customers, are becoming increasingly complex and costly to maintain. This price adjustment is necessary to ensure continued service quality and reliability.

This marks our first price adjustment since 2022, reflecting our efforts to absorb escalating operational and network maintenance costs for as long as economically feasible. At IFA Telecom, we remain dedicated to offering competitively priced, high-quality services to all our valued customers, especially in rural communities where reliable connectivity is crucial.
